Thomas was raised by hard-working, blue-collar parents in rural Greenville, Alabama, but has called the Chattahoochee Valley area home for 20 years. A product of public schools, Thomas attended the University of Alabama on academic scholarships where he graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Communication and Information Sciences and a Business minor.
After years of practical experience in the public and private sectors, Thomas earned his law degree from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama where he attended on scholarship and took classes at night. During this time, he served as Executive Editor of the Faulkner Law Review and as an Honor Court Justice while working fulltime with the Beasley Allen Law Firm.
After law school, Thomas went on to become licensed in Georgia and Alabama. He served as a staff attorney for the Superior Court Judges of the Chattahoochee Judicial Circuit before opening Thomas Lakes Law, LLC..
Thomas also lends his time and talents to many local and statewide professional and civic organizations. He enjoys spending time with his family, working on the farm, and riding his motorcycle.
About Jillian Lakes
Originally from Shiloh, GA, Jillian returned home to raise her family and looks forward to helping her local community while working with Thomas Lakes Law. After graduating from Auburn University, she married Thomas and they moved back to the local area. She has a Master’s degree from Columbus State University and is a registered mediator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.
